Glasgow is an international city with excellent links to the UK, Europe and North America.
  • Glasgow & Prestwick airports serve 21 UK, 49 European and 8 North American destination
  • Rail links from England on both the west and east coast main lines are excellent. See www.thetrainline.com for details
  • Driving times are around 5.5 hours from London, 4.5 hours from Birmingham and 3.5 hours from Manchester
  • International delegates considering taking in both the Basbwe IWF and WASBE 2007 in Killarney, Ireland have several attractive options for the journey to Killarney. The quickest way is a 30 minute train to Edinburgh and a direct flight to Cork (currently about US$25) which is around 50km from Killarney. A more leisurely approach might be to hire a car and take a few days to drive down through the borders of Scotland, stop for a game of golf at Turnberry, taking a ferry from Stranraer across to Northern Ireland and stopping off in Belfast and Dublin en route.
